ÉTYM. 1887, cit.; de conessi, nom de plante.
Chim., méd. Alcaloïde stéroïdique utilisé essentiellement dans le traitement des amibiases.
0 La conessine. On a importé récemment en Allemagne une écorce employée contre la dysenterie dans l'Afrique Tropicale, et désignée sous le nom d'écorce de conessi.
